"I went to Hesketh for the first time last week and was very impressed with the rustic, homely fell and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of freshly prepared British food. I had the carvery which I throughoutly enjoyed and my girlfriend had a hot sandwich with salad bar, again, lots of choice as you help yourself. The young lady, who served us was very helpful as it was our first visit, will definitely return!"

"Me and my boyfriend pick the kids up from the school across the road, and every Wednesday we pop in the Hesketh on the way home as a mid-week treat for ourselves and the kids. We sit in the lovely beergarden and relax, enjoying the great 'afternoon tea' promotion they have on, whilst the kids let all their energy out in the outdoor adventure playground."

"Don't be fooled by all the food at the Hesketh, me and my mates come in most nights for early doors just for drinks. James knows what he's doing when it comes to beer.... definitely the best kept bitter in Cheadle Hulme!"

"I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff at the Hesketh for taking such good care of us last Sunday for our little boys Christening. We hired out 'The Barn' and although we still enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere of the pub, it was nice to have our own space. Was a really good afternoon, the food was spot on and all the staff were extremely efficient and attentive to our needs."

"Me and all the girls used to get together for the themed nights the Hesketh last spring. They put on such a good night and the live entertainment was brilliant! We made a night of it, with the delicious running buffet, that literally had us running back for more!! They kept the bar open later, which gave us an excuse to dance the night away..... Cant wait for you to bring back the International Nights (especially the Caribbean Night!!!)

The best carvery in the area by a mile!

My wife and I regularly visit the pub for a carvery meal and drinks.  We find the pub warm, clean and friendly.  The food and service are excellent, the ambience very relaxing.  A couple of months ago, we did try a local alternative but only made it as far as walking through the door before turning around and heading straight back to the Hesketh.

I have already recommended the carvery to others as I think it is the best in the area.  The food was excellent: there were seven of us dining and everyone commented on how the meat was cooked to perfection.  I was particularly pleasantly surprised that vegetarians pay less than meat eaters as this isn't often the case at carveries, I really enjoyed the vegetable selection and the chef kindly offered a big yorkshire pudding instead which I thought was a lovely gesture.  All the staff were beaming and although the pub was packed, we received excellent service.  this is now my carvery of choice - it was great!

Excellent carvery meals: hot, tasty, good variety and value for money.  Our favourite place for a meal out.
