ASSISTANT MANAGER
Qualifications & Experience necessary
We are looking for someone who is well organised, career-minded, smart, confident, outgoing, responsible, and alert that would fit into our existing team. Managers are required to take responsibility for:
- Day to day opening, running and closing of the business
- Management of a team of about 30 to include: rotas, wage budgets, recruitment, disciplinary, health & safety, training and development
- Encourage a food-led split (60/40)
- Reporting to Directors with weekly profit and loss management accounts (monthly stocks, standards audits)
- Control of bar margins and cask cellar management
- Drive food margins and assist Head Chef to achieve targets
- Grow sales by recruiting new customers and encouraging repeat business
The working week is usually 45 hours, including evenings and weekends. In return, an excellent basic salary is offered with achievable bonuses based on house operating profits, with the possibility of a 'live-in' package once a trusted relationship has been established. Training and development is on-going for the right candidate.
