Almond Family Pubs, runners up at The Publican Awards 2025

Last week Mr Almond, Vicki and James took a trip down to the Capital for a night of glitz and glamour at the Publican Awards.

The Publican Awards are an annual, prestigious event, hosted by the Morning Advertiser – the ‘oldest and most respected magazine for our industry’. Given the prestige, we were delighted to have been nominated for the ‘Best Operations Team’, up against three other top names from across the country.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t our night, and we were pipped to the post by our colleagues just up the road from Cheshire Cat Company. We were pleased that the award went to another local company, representing the region and the Northern hospitality that we famously offer.

James Almond said “Of course we were disappointed not to have won the award, but we were thrilled to even be there. It’s ‘The’ award ceremony of the year and we were rubbing shoulders with the cream of the crop! We’re proud of our pubs and our Operations Team, they’re winners in our eyes!”
