2025 was maybe our best year ever, with over 400 walkers all taking One Small Step as we raised funds for Foundation for Prader-Willi Research UK.
The charity is one close to the family’s heart, as Bella, Vicki Williams’ daughter was diagnosed with the rare genetic condition when she was 3 weeks old. With your support, we’ll continue to fundraise for research, with every penny contributed taking us closer to finding therapies and medication that will help all of those who have Prader-Willi syndrome.
You can register your interest to join us on the walk in 2026 below – we’ll send you an email once registrations are open early next year.
At Almond Family Pubs, we know that behind every great literary character is a parent who probably spent at least one late night with a glue gun or a sewing machine. We are massive fans of the effort that goes into World Book Day, and we want to reward your little bookworms for that creative spirit.
If you are looking to treat the kids on Thursday 5th March, as a special well done to all the children who join us in fancy dress, we are offering a complimentary ice cream to every little character dining with us today.
This offer is available across all our pubs this afternoon, so feel free to drop in and show off those outfits.
Only available Thursday 5th March 2026 when dining, subject to manager’s discretion

Starlights (Duo)
Louis & Nacho have a vast amount of experience in the music industry, having learnt, played, performed and taught for many years. Individually, they’ve graced stages worldwide, from performing at festivals in Spain and Pakistan to selling out shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Vocalist Louis has toured and recorded many original and session projects, and guitarist Nacho has performed on the main stage at Silverstone F1 Grand Prix and the Late Late Show broadcast on BBC Ireland.
We’re on the lookout for local makers, crafters, and workshop hosts to partner with them on a brand-new series of craft nights across our five Stockport locations. Whether you lead candle making sessions, wreath workshops, painting classes, macramé, pottery, or something else entirely, we want to hear from you.
Each event will be hosted and led by you in one of our pubs, with up to 30 guests, while we take care of the venue, the audience, and the promotion. We’re looking to build ongoing partnerships with the potential for repeat bookings throughout the year – so if you love sharing your craft with others, this could be the perfect fit.

We’re delighted to share that the Puss in Boots in Offerton has been awarded CAMRA Stockport & South Manchester Pub of the Month for February – a fantastic recognition for the team, and their commitment to real ale.
CAMRA’s award recognises many things, but at its heart is the consistently high quality of the beer. Serving Robinsons Unicorn, Dizzy Blonde and a rotating seasonal ale, we’re proud of the respect the Puss has earned from local ale drinks and beyond. This award is a testament to the care and craft that the team show each and every day.
The award also recognises the wider impact Almond Family Pubs has had across Stockport – to quote the article:
Another reason for the award is recognition of the positive impact that the Almond Family pubs have had on the Stockport area – in the Puss in Boots, the Jolly Sailor in Davenport, the Spread Eagle in Romiley and the new Station House in Cheadle Hulme, they have taken pubs that were failing and transformed them into significant community assets. For those of us who remember the Puss in Boots in its former state, it is possibly the biggest turnaround of them all.
Congratulations to Nick and the whole team: a richly deserved achievement. CAMRA Stockport & South Manchester will be hosting a presentation at the Puss on Thursday 26th February, for which we’d love to have you down.
You can read the full article in Opening Times, which can be found here.

We’re thrilled to share that two of our pubs, Puss in Boots and Fletchers Arms, have been recognised in the Robinsons Brewery Best in Glass 2025 awards for exceptional beer quality.
Each year, Robinsons Brewery conducts unannounced cellar quality audits across its estate, focusing on beer condition, cellar standards and how well each pub serves every pint to customers. Only pubs scoring 90% or higher receive the coveted Beer Excellence Gold Standard award. This is a mark of pubs that consistently deliver top-notch real ale and draught beer to their guests.
We’re proud to say that both of our pubs that serve Robinsons have been recognised, which is a testament to the dedication of our staff, and the commitment to pulling the perfect pint, every time. Join us in raising a glass to celebrate the Puss and Fletchers being Best in Glass. Cheers!
