In the pub:
Order food from waiter at table
Order drinks from waiter OR for speedy, minimal contact order on your smartphone to be delivered to your table
Note table number, order food at the bar
Order & pay for your drinks on your smartphone to be delivered to your table
QR codes will be available on business cards, posters and on menus
DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
You do not have to register but we are supporting the process to aid the NHS Track and Trace system:

CAN I BOOK A TABLE?
Yes, we would advise our guests to book tables for dining due to our limited capacity. We will be taking bookings for any number up to a maximum of 6, this is to be reviewed as restrictions relax.
We’re not taking bookings for drinkers, we’re trying to keep our pubs like pubs and taking bookings for drinkers just doesn’t feel right. Our drinkers have lost their standing space and aren’t permitted to stand at the bar so we promise to set aside a lounge area within each pub, dedicated for drinkers.
ARE YOU SERVING FOOD?
Yes, we will be serving food. Our menu is reduced slightly and varies from pub to pub. Not all of our pubs will be offering Carvery to begin with. Those that are, it will be served by one of our friendly team rather than the usual self serve style.
ARE YOU LIMITING NUMBERS IN THE PUB?
Yes we will be adhering to distancing guidelines, as a result of this our numbers are slightly reduced. When our seats are occupied unfortunately we are full due to the government requirement that guests may not stand
ARE YOU DOING TAKEAWAYS?
Let us get used to looking after our guests in the pub; we hope to launch our take-away service as soon as we have this boxed!
CAN WE STILL PAY CASH?
We’ve gone cashless! Card payments only, please use contactless where possible
WILL YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE BE OPEN?
Yes, our outdoor garden will be open and adhering to distancing guidelines and we will be encouraging guests to use this space when the weather permits. We will have dedicated areas for dining outside to help control the number of food orders we have at any one time in order to prevent waiting times on food orders.
WILL THERE BE ANY CHANGES TO OPENING TIMES?
No but we are reopening our coffee shops at the Puss in Boots and Jolly Sailor, meaning our doors will be open from 7.30am. Our closing times may be earlier than advertised during the first few weeks after reopening.
CAN I USE MY LOYALTY CARD?
We are temporarily suspending our loyalty scheme due to the increased risk of exposure when the cards are passed between our guests and our teams. We hope to get this back up and running soon. Any points you have accrued will be honoured further down the line.
HOW WILL I KNOW I AM SAFE?
We have taken consultation with a number of partners to ensure our new practices are safe. Our partners include: Bii, BBPA, UK Hospitality, our insurers, Green King, Robinsons, Star Pubs and Bars and Tameside council. Our updated practices include:
Training all our team on our updated operating procedures
Conducting daily staff health checks and temperature monitoring
Washing our hands after every task and at least every 30 minutes for 20 seconds with soap and hot water
Only 2 guests to use the toilet at any time
Keeping to distancing guidelines
No longer allowing customers to serve themselves at the carvery
Screens throughout our bars
A nominated team member will be dedicated to sanitising all touch points throughout the pub on an hourly basis
Our standards have always been a point of pride to us, with all six pubs receiving 5 star ratings from EHO.

Having said that complacency can be dangerous so if you spot something wrong please do let us know, but please, be kind.
