We serve food, which means we’re still able to open. Hooray!

 

WHO CAN I COME TO THE PUB WITH?
Just your household and support bubble, for the time being. This now includes our outside areas too.

 

CAN I STILL COME FOR JUST A DRINK?
If you’re purchasing alcoholic drinks they must now be ancillary to a substantial meal. We’ve got lots of lovely dishes on our menu so take this opportunity to sample some of our delights.

We will have some pocket-friendly dishes available for our drinkers to make sure you are compliant with the new rules. Plus, all of our pizzas are now 33% off, Monday to Saturday!

 

CAN I STILL COME IN FOR A NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINK?
Yes, you’re more than welcome to join us for this, you don’t need to order any food if your drink is non-alcoholic. That means our coffee shops at the Puss in Boots and Jolly Sailor remain open as usual.

 

WILL YOU OPENING TIMES BE THE SAME?
We’ll be open all day, but we might need to close a little earlier, once our last diner has vacated. We’ll also be serving food all day at all of our pubs. At the Puss in Boots and Jolly Sailor our full menu will be available and at The Hesketh, Fletchers Arms and Spread Eagle we’ll have our full pizza menu available from 2.30pm to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

 

CAN I STILL ORDER A COFFEE TO GO?
Yes, we’re still offering our take-away hot drinks at all of our pubs. You’re still able to meet other households in certain public places, including parks and the countryside, which is excellent news as we have some amazing spaces right on doorstep. A nice long autumnal walk is even better with a freshly brewed barista coffee!

 

CAN I BOOK A FUNERAL?
We are still allowed to take bookings for funerals for up to 15 people, please get in touch.

 

ARE YOU STILL SERVING CARVERY?
We are no longer able to serve you from the carvery but we promise to provide you with the same quality roasts you’re used to, just served a little differently, to your table. We will have a choice of roast beef, turkey and gammon available on Sundays, with our selection of famous veg (plus some exciting additions!). 

During the week, our pubs will endeavour to offer a plated Roast as a daily special.

 

ARE YOU DOING TAKE-AWAY?
Our take-away service is up and running at the Jolly Sailor and we have set the ball rolling at our other pubs. We’ll have some news about when this available very soon, watch this space 😊

CAN I BOOK A TABLE?
Yes, we would advise our guests to book tables for dining due to our limited capacity. We will be taking bookings for any number up to a maximum of 6. (Restrictions apply– Max 6 from one household).

 

HOW DO I ORDER?
It’s table service only for now, so sit back, relax and let us come to you. You can order food and drink from a waiter at your table. For speedy, minimal contact you can order and pay for your drinks on your smartphone to be delivered to your table, just see our QR code for this.

 

DO I HAVE TO HAVE THE NHS APP TO REGISTER FOR TEST & TRACE?
The Government’s app is the preferred way to leave your details, however, if you don’t have the app you can always scan our internal app or see your host and we can take your details the old-fashioned way! We just need to know your name, telephone number and how many people you’re joining us with.

 

WILL YOU STILL BE DOING THE QUIZ?
No, unfortunately, we are no longer able to run our quizzes so we will be postponing them for the time being

 

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK?
We’ve all got to start wearing masks a little more, our front of house teams will be wearing them at all times. You may notice our chefs are exempt and that is because they are not in contact with the general public and are able to distance accordingly (plus, it’s hot and noisy in the kitchen!).
We ask that you wear yours when you’re not seated at your table. The good news is, you can take this off when you are seated for food and drink

 

ARE YOU LIMITING NUMBERS IN THE PUB?
Yes we will be adhering to distancing guidelines, as a result of this our numbers are slightly reduced. When our seats are occupied unfortunately we are full due to the government requirement that guests may not stand

 

CAN WE STILL PAY CASH?
We’ve gone cashless! Card payments only, please use contactless where possible

 

WILL YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE BE OPEN?
Yes, our outdoor garden will be open and adhering to distancing guidelines and we will be encouraging guests to use this space when the weather permits. We will have dedicated areas for dining outside to help control the number of food orders we have at any one time in order to prevent waiting times on food orders. 

 

CAN I USE MY LOYALTY CARD?
We are temporarily suspending our loyalty scheme due to the increased risk of exposure when the cards are passed between our guests and our teams. We hope to get this back up and running soon. Any points you have accrued will be honoured further down the line. 

 

HOW WILL I KNOW I AM SAFE?
We have taken consultation with a number of partners to ensure our new practices are safe. Our partners include: Bii, BBPA, UK Hospitality, our insurers, Greene King, Robinsons, Star Pubs and Bars and Tameside council. Our updated practices include:

What we’re doing to keep you safe;

  • Trained all our team on our updated operating procedures
  • Conducting daily staff health checks and temperature monitoring
  • Washing our hands after each task and every 30 minutes for 20 seconds with soap and hot water
  • Keeping to distancing guidelines
  • Cleaning the toilet facilities and touch points regularly

To help us you and our team safe, please:

  • Please do not enter the pub if you have any symptoms of Coronavirus or are isolating
  • Please wash your hands, on arrival and use hand sanitiser stations regularly
  • Follow distancing guidelines around other customers and our team
  • Follow the signage, floor markings and any one-way systems in place
  • Only two people in the toilet at any one time
  • Please don’t move the furniture, it has been positioned to maintain distancing
  • Table service only, no standing or ordering at the bar
  • All customers must wear a mask unless seated at a table
  • We’re cashless! Card payments only, please use contactless where possible
  • Please register with Test & Trace using the QR code at the entrance
