The Station House, runner up at The Publican Awards 2026
On the evening of Wednesday 25th March, we were proud to attend the Publican Awards 2026 ceremony at Evolution London, where The Station House was named a finalist in the Best New Site category. Unfortunately, we didn’t take home the top prize – we would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Molly Mcs, recipient of the Best New Site award on the night.
To represent Stockport and the North West on a national stage of this significance was a tremendous honour. The Publican Awards are widely regarded as the benchmark of excellence within the UK hospitality industry, judged by an independent panel of experts who assess everything from operational performance and innovation to customer experience and long-term sustainability. To be considered amongst the finest new pub openings in the country – having only opened our doors in October 2025 – is a source of immense pride for everyone at Almond Family Pubs.
Whilst we did not take home the trophy, we return to Cheadle Hulme proud of the pub we have built, proud of the community we have become a part of, and proud of our team.
