Table Booking FAQs

Why do I need a card guarantee on my booking?

On Sundays and other key dates throughout the year, we ask for debit or credit card details to secure your table. Rest assured, these are held in a secure, PCI-DSS compliant vault, and you won’t be charged unless plans change. A charge of £10 per person applies to any no-shows, reduced numbers or cancellations that we’re not told about at least 24 hours before your booking.

For large bookings, a deposit may be required – please speak to a member of the team.

You can read our full booking terms and conditions here: https://www.almond-pubs.co.uk/booking-terms-conditions/

A member of my party has dietary requirements – will they be able to eat and drink with us?

Yes, of course. We’ve got an extensive menu for vegetarians and vegans, plus a specially crafted menu for guests limiting their gluten intake. If you’re unsure about any ingredients or allergens, speak to a member of our team who will be happy to help or advise you before you book.

I need to make a booking for a group of 4 and the system won’t allow me to – what do I do?

Some of our pubs only accept online bookings for groups of 5 or more at certain times – this helps us make sure larger groups can always get a seat. For groups of 4 or fewer, we’ve almost always got room, whether you’re eating or just enjoying a drink, so simply pop in any time and a member of our team will find you a table.

Can I book one of your pubs for a large gathering or event?

Yes – we regularly host large groups and gatherings for all sorts of occasions. That ranges from the professional (work drinks, presentations and business meetings) through to much more personal events (birthdays, retirement parties and wakes). You can make an enquiry about a large gathering or event here.

I’m running late for my booking – what do I do?

If you find yourself running more than 15 minutes late, please call the pub your booking is at and ask to speak to the duty manager. If you are more than 15 minutes late and we haven’t heard from you, we may have to release your table to another guest.

Can I park at the pub?

Many of our pubs have free on-site parking, though this varies from site to site. Please check the page for the pub you’re visiting for details, and note that parking is likely to be busy at peak times, so it’s worth allowing a little extra time.

I need to make a change to my booking – how can I do that?

If for any reason you’d like to make changes to your reservation, please call the pub where you’re booked in – a member of our team will be able to offer advice and make any changes that are available.

Can I bring my dog?

All of our pubs are dog-friendly in the bar area, though this differs from pub to pub. Please check the page for the pub you’re visiting for the details.

I have a preferred table – can I book that?

We’ll always do our best to accommodate requests for where to sit, but this may not always be possible. Speak to a member of our team if you’d like a certain spot and we’ll do what we can.

How long is a table booking?

As standard, we’ll need your table back 2 hours after your booking time. If you require longer at your table, please contact us and a member of our team will let you know what’s possible.

Is a booking any different on a Sunday?

If you’re booking for a Sunday, you’ll be dining from our Sunday menu and prices may vary. We serve our famous carvery every Sunday alongside our full menu. Please note that the majority of our special offers and vouchers are not available on Sundays.

Do you add a service charge?

We add a discretionary 10% service charge to your bill, as most of us now pay by card rather than cash. Our fantastic team receive 100% of tips. We’re more than happy to take this off – just let us know.

A member of my party has accessibility needs – what do I do?

If you require wheelchair access, high chairs, or have any other accessibility requirements, please call us and speak to the duty manager. We’ll make sure everything is ready for your visit.
