Booking a table at the Jolly Sailor? As one of Stockport’s favourite family-friendly pubs, our team are always ready with a warm welcome, whatever the reason for your visit. Whether you’re enjoying a few well kept ales with friends or enjoying extensive food menu (complete with carvery every Sunday) we’re here to help. We take bookings for groups of 5 or more every day. For groups of 4 or fewer, you can book from Monday to Saturday: on Sundays, there’s no booking needed – come visit and a member of the Jolly Sailor team will get you seated as soon as we can.

The cost of a deposit per head varies depending on the type of booking, but will always be made clear to you as part of the booking process. Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours before your booking – contact a member of our team to arrange repayment.

Yes, of course – we’ve got an extensive menu for vegetarians and vegans, plus a specially crafted menu for those limiting their gluten intake. If you’re unsure, speak to a member of the Jolly Sailor team who will be able to help or advise you.
We only accept bookings for groups of 5 or more – this is to ensure that larger groups can get a seat. For groups of 4 or fewer, we’ve generally always got room, whether you’re eating or drinking with us, so simply come visit us any time and a member of our team will get you a table.
Yes, the Jolly Sailor regularly accommodates large groups and gatherings for all sorts of different events. This can range from the professional (work drinks, presentations, business meetings) through to much more personal events (birthdays, retirement parties, and wakes). If you find yourself running more than 15 minutes late, please call Jolly Sailor on 0161 483 3350 and ask to speak to the manager on duty. If you are more than 15 minutes late, and we haven’t heard from you, we may have to give your table to someone else.
Yes, we have free on-site parking at the Jolly Sailor – please note that at peak times, this is likely to be busy.
If for any reason you would like to make any changes to your reservation, please call Jolly Sailor on 0161 483 3350 – a member of our team based in Denton should be able to offer advice, and make any changes that are available.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Jolly Sailor bar area all day Monday- Wednesday, and Thursday – Saturday, until 7pm. However, we are unable to take bookings for parties with dogs as our only bookable areas are dog-free – as we are a pub at heart, we don’t believe in taking bookings in our bar area. If you are wanting to dine with your dog, please just come along and we will find you the next available table.

As standard, our bookings at the Jolly Sailor mean your table is required back 2 hours after your booking time. If, for whatever reason, you require longer at your table, please contact us at the Jolly Sailor and a member of our team will be able to advise.

We add a discretionary 10% service charge to your bill as most of us now use cards over cash. Our fantastic team receive 100% of tips. We’re more than happy to take this off, just let us know.
