Looking to book a table at the Spread Eagle? As one of Stockport’s most loved family-friendly pubs, our dedicated team is always on hand to give you a warm welcome—whatever the occasion. Whether you’re catching up with friends over a few perfectly-poured ales or planning a get-together to enjoy our generous food menu, including our daily carvery, we’re here to make it easy. We take bookings for groups of 5 or more every day of the week. For smaller groups of 4 or fewer, we accept bookings Monday to Saturday: on Sunday, simply turn up and a member of our team will be able to seat you.

How do I get to the Spread Eagle?

Spread Eagle is located at Hatherlow, Romiley, Stockport, SK6 3DR and has on-site parking.

If you’re planning on getting to the Spread Eagle by public transport, our nearest train stations are at Romiley (0.4 miles), Bredbury (0.9 miles), Woodley (1.3 miles), and Rose Hill (1.4 miles), and the nearest bus stop is Hatherlow, served by the 382 busses. What are the refund terms on my deposit?

The cost of a deposit per head varies depending on the type of booking, but will always be made clear to you as part of the booking process. Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours before your booking – contact a member of our team to arrange repayment, as these are not processed automatically.

A member of my party has dietary requirements – will they be able to eat and drink with us at Spread Eagle?

Yes, of course – we’ve got an extensive menu for vegetarians and vegans, plus a specially crafted menu for those limiting their gluten intake. If you’re unsure, speak to a member of the Spread Eagle team who will be able to help or advise you.

I need to make a booking for a group of 4 or fewer at the Spread Eagle, what do I do?

We only accept bookings for groups of 5 or more – this is to ensure that larger groups can get a seat. For groups of 4 or fewer, we’ve generally always got room, whether you’re eating or drinking with us, so simply come visit us any time and a member of our team will get you a table.

Can I book the Spread Eagle for a large gathering or event?

Yes, the Spread Eagle regularly accommodates large groups and gatherings for all sorts of different events. This can range from the professional (work drinks, presentations, business meetings) through to much more personal events (birthdays, retirement parties, and wakes). I’m running late for my booking at the Spread Eagle, what do I do?

If you find yourself running more than 15 minutes late, please call Spread Eagle on 0161 494 5723 and ask to speak to the manager on duty. If you are more than 15 minutes late, and we haven’t heard from you, we may have to give your table to someone else.

Can I park at the Spread Eagle?

Yes, we have free on-site parking at the Spread Eagle – please note that at peak times, this is likely to be busy.

I need to make a change to my Spread Eagle booking, how can I do that?

If for any reason you would like to make any changes to your reservation, please call Spread Eagle on 0161 494 5723 – a member of our team based in Denton should be able to offer advice, and make any changes that are available.

Can I bring my dog to the Spread Eagle?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Spread Eagle bar area all day Monday- Wednesday, and Thursday – Saturday, until 7pm. However, we are unable to take bookings for parties with dogs as our only bookable areas are dog-free – as we are a pub at heart, we don’t believe in taking bookings in our bar area. If you are wanting to dine with your dog, please just come along and we will find you the next available table.

I have a preferred table at the Spread Eagle – can I book that?

If you are reserving for a table at Spread Eagle on a Sunday,  you will be dining from our Sunday menu and prices may vary.  (The majority of our special offers & our vouchers are not available on Sundays).

How long is a table booking at the Spread Eagle?

As standard, our bookings at the Spread Eagle mean your table is required back 2 hours after your booking time. If, for whatever reason, you require longer at your table, please contact us at the Spread Eagle and a member of our team will be able to advise.

Is a booking any different on a Sunday?

While we’ll always do our best to accommodate requests for where to sit, this may not always be possible: speak to a member of our team if you require a certain spot

Does the Spread Eagle add a service charge?

We add a discretionary 10% service charge to your bill as most of us now use cards over cash. Our fantastic team receive 100% of tips. We’re more than happy to take this off, just let us know.

A member of my party for my Spread Eagle booking has accessibility needs, what do I do?

If you require access for a wheelchair, any high chairs or have any other accessibility issues, then please call us at the Spread Eagle and speak to the duty manager.
