The Station House nominated for SBID International Design Awards
The Station House in Cheadle Hulme is a finalist in the SBID International Design Awards 2026, one of the most respected interior design awards anywhere in the world.
For a pub that only opened its doors last October, being named among the very best restaurant interiors in the country is a proud moment for everyone at Almond Family Pubs, and we honestly could not be more thrilled.
The award recognises the stunning transformation of the building many of you will remember as Platform 5. Working with the hugely talented team at Fusion by Design, and in partnership with our friends at Joseph Holt, we reimagined the whole space around the golden age of rail travel. Think 1930s glamour at every turn: a gleaming brass and marble bar, plush leather booths, ornate detailing and beautiful, high-quality furnishings throughout. Step outside and there’s a brand new 100-seat raised sun terrace, made for long summer evenings, along with widened entryways for that warm, easy welcome we love to give.
A huge congratulations goes to Paula and the whole team at Fusion by Design, whose vision and craft brought every last detail to life. This shortlisting is a real testament to their talent, and we’re delighted to see their work getting the recognition it deserves.
Alongside the expert judges, there’s a public vote that counts towards the final result, and every single vote helps. It takes less than a minute, and we’d hugely appreciate you casting your vote for The Station House in Category 16, Restaurant Design UK.
The winners will be revealed at a glittering ceremony at the Royal Lancaster London on Friday 6th November 2026. Fingers crossed we’ll be raising a glass to a win on the day, but whatever the result, we’re incredibly proud to see The Station House representing Cheadle Hulme, Almond Family Pubs and great British pub design on the national stage.
