The Station House shortlisted for Best New Site at The Publican Awards
We’re proud to announce that The Station House has been shortlisted for Best New Site at the prestigious Publican Awards 2026, one of the most respected accolades in the UK hospitality industry.
Each year, pub companies from across the country enter The Publican Awards, putting themselves through a rigorous judging process designed to recognise excellence, innovation and outstanding performance.
The Best New Site category recognises pub openings or substantial redevelopments, celebrating venues that have successfully built trade, connected with their communities and delivered a compelling guest experience. Having opened in October following a joint £1.3m renovation between Almond Family Pubs and iconic Manchester-based brewery Joseph Holt, The Station House has been shortlisted alongside an impressive field of finalists from across the UK.

This nomination means a great deal to us and is a real testament to the passion, creativity and commitment of our general manager Zac and his entire team. From the outset, this was a big departure for us. We wanted to create something elevated but still true to our brand and to what our customers are seeking: quality, value and a great atmosphere.
“The design was inspired by the golden age of rail travel, and was carefully considered to allow the space to evolve throughout the day, from coffee mornings to pints at the bar, allowing us to welcome a broad mix of guests. Our aim was to create a pub for all occasions and all seasons: inclusive but with an exclusive feel. The feedback so far has been fantastic, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that recognised at a national level.”
